MTN Uganda takes an interactive Internet Expo to Jinja (Eastern Uganda)

Moving steadily in the delivery of a bold, new Digital World and after launching “Join the fastest Internet in the New World”, a new thematic Internet campaign that showcases all the things you can learn from the Internet, MTN Uganda has taken the initiative to conduct an internet Expo in the Eastern town of Jinja to help users there discover the great many things they can accomplish with MTN Internet.

MTN Uganda has again demonstrated its commitment to the development of the country by handing over a check worth Fifteen Billion, Nine Hundred and Twenty Eight Million Three Hundred and Fifty Two Thousand, and Three Hundred and Fifty Shillings to the Uganda Communications Commission Rural Communications Development Fund (RCDF) in Tax remittance. This is part of the mandatory 2% levy for all telecommunications companies.

MTN Uganda confirms Mobile Money transactions for its roaming customers

MTN Uganda has confirmed that its Mobile Money service currently also enables its customers to send, receive money and do all other Mobile Money transactions while roaming at the normal local transaction fees. The roaming customer is only charged an additional 80/- for each transaction message. The rate is with effect from Friday 23rd May 2014.

MTN Uganda Total Subscriber base increases by 8.4% to 9.5 million in the 1st quarter of 2014.

As of 31 March 2014, MTN Uganda has registered positive performance for the first quarter ended 31st March 2014, increasing its subscriber base by 8.4% to 9.5 million, mainly attributed to attractive bundled offers aimed at both acquisition and retention. Regionally focused sales and distribution campaigns further supported the performance.

Gerald Kabuye takes MTN April Golf Mug

The MTN April Mug played on Labour Day at Kitante Golf course saw Kabuye Gerald swing to the top with 71 nett closely followed by Kezio Solo in second place with 73 nett. In the Ladies category Kabenge Katy took the top position with 70 Count Back points while Lady Captain  Ntege Monica was runner up with 70 Count Back.
